Yard Driver

Multiple openings for dependable safety-conscious Yard Drivers for global logistics company for a facility in Shreveport, LA. This role is responsible for the safe movement, parking, inspection, and preparation of vehicles to ship to dealerships.

Yard Driver Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $13.50 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:00pm )

• Safely move and park vehicles throughout the yard & in and out of buildings
• Follow vehicle handling procedures and traffic regulations. 
• Inspect vehicles before operation for damage or mechanical issues. 
• Report accidents, hazards, damage, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Read parking maps and identify correct vehicle locations.
• Transport vehicles for inspections, fueling, washing, and processing.
• Check tire pressure and battery condition using handheld equipment.
• Drive vehicles on and off conveyors.
• Remove protective wraps and trash from vehicles.
• Complete required checklists accurately and on time.
• Assist with general yard operations as assigned. 

Yard Driver Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license is requried.
• Ability to safely drive vehicles
• Safety-focused with attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and vehicle entry/exit.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and drive for extended periods.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift and move materials as needed up to 45 lbs.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
