We are seeking a motivated, results-driven In-Home Solar Sales Representative to join our growing residential solar team. This role is designed for experienced closers and high-potential sales professionals who thrive in face-to-face environments and are passionate about helping homeowners transition to clean, cost-saving energy solutions.
As an In-Home Solar Sales Representative, you will meet directly with homeowners, conduct personalized energy consultations, present customized solar solutions, and guide customers through the sales process from consultation to signed agreement.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position offering 100% commission-based compensation with no base salary or hourly pay. Your income is directly tied to your personal production, performance, and ability to close business. This is a high-income opportunity with uncapped earning potential for professionals who excel at relationship-building, communication, and closing deals.
Conduct in-home consultations with qualified homeowners
Analyze homeowners’ energy usage and explain solar savings opportunities
Present customized solar system proposals and financing options
Build trust and establish strong customer relationships during the sales process
Educate customers on solar benefits, incentives, tax credits, and long-term savings
Handle objections confidently and professionally
Close sales and complete all required documentation accurately
Maintain consistent follow-up communication with prospects
Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding
Track sales activity and pipeline updates within CRM systems
Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance metrics
Minimum 1–2 years of in-home sales experience, preferably in solar, roofing, windows, HVAC, alarms, or home improvement
Proven track record of closing deals in a commission-based environment
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities
Self-motivated with a competitive and goal-oriented mindset
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Previous residential solar sales experience
Familiarity with financing platforms and solar proposal software
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
